For us personally, YES. YES, YES YES. We’ve kept our kiddos on a solid routine since the kids were a week or two old. I think that initiating a routine is so important and well quite frankly, bathing daily is a good thing. So WAY back when, when the kiddos were teeny tiny, I didn’t necessarily soap them every day, but I did get them accustomed to the water and went through the movements. I felt that it was a great way to establish a good bedtime routine.
Now that the kids are older, they NEED showers every day. It’s funny, my Mom was over not too long ago and we were just about to get into the groove and I sent Natalie up for a shower first. We go in the same order every single day to avoid any type of discrepancies. My Mom was surprised that Nat could shower herself– like from turning the water on to getting out & dressed. Zoe’s turn is next and she was REALLY shocked that Z could do it herself. I think that raising kids to be self sufficient is super important. They should be able to do things themselves, especially if it’s something that they do every day..
Don’t get me wrong, I do check on them to make sure they don’t get out of the tub with a head full of conditioner and that they’ve seriously scrubbed all the necessary parts, but they’re good. Bathing every day is such a good way to unwind from the day; I mean don’t you love a shower at the end of the day, or even better a bath?
