WHY is it so freaking hard to decide what to eat? What to do? When to leave?
In all honesty, I am the prime decision maker… in the easy stuff. I just make dinner and cross my fingers someone will eat it. I choose the park and hopefully, no one complains. I’ll pick the activity, pack the snacks and hope for the best. BUT sometimes, I’m OVER being in the driver seat. So when I’m like.. Hmm.. what should we do… Shit takes forever and I’m over it.
Firstly, if I leave it up to the children, we’d never go anywhere unless they collectively decided that Dino and or Great Wolf Lodge is on the table. Dinner can never be discussed, even though CPK is pretty much a winner but lord, I am so sick of CPK. So, I guess maybe the issue is that I care too much? Maybe I’m too uptight and I need to just go with the flow.
I remember growing up– the 4 of us would rotate where we went to eat. It was up to whichever babysitter or parent was with us to hold us accountable for which child got to choose next– maybe I should adopt that into my family. I just fear that we’d be eating CPK 3 weeks in a row. BLECK.
So I’ve browsed Pinterest and there are a lot of different options out there, and maybe I should do this..(but how many times do people say that about Pinterest ideas)… Anyway, get some jars and popsicle sticks and put the restaurants on the popsicle sticks and just draw one to make an easier decision. I’m sure the same could go for daytime activities and date nights. Does anyone actually do this? I feel like it could have some major potential.
