Let’s just say, I should freaking should do laundry every day. At the rate that my children change their clothes, or spill or the shirt was too tight, my laundry is full probably in a day and a half. I don’t know about y’all, but I have other things to do that fall under my “Mom” title other than laundry. I mean, I love having cleaning laundry as much as the next person, but number 1:: It’s been hot AF here in LA the past month and doing laundry– every step of it– generates heat. Separating it, carrying it downstairs, filling it back up, switching it over, carrying it back up, folding it and the WORST putting it away. It is a cardio activity that is NO bueno in the heat.
I don’t do a load a day, though I should. I DO though, separate my colors, wash our sheets once a week as well as our towels. My Kids always have clean clothes to start off the day and well, I wish there was such a thing as a laundry fairy.
I think the issue is that there are SO many of us, even waiting two or three days, the laundry is like FULL FULL, I think that if I did do laundry every day it would be smaller and wouldn’t seem like such a task. I also feel like families with 2 or more kids need an extra laundry and dryer. I used to see on the Kardashian’s that they had 2 washers and 2 dryers.. ‘WHY’, I used to think but now… It’s all becoming clear. How amazing would it be to do two loads of laundry at once OR not have to wait to use the dry towels and sheets when we can do them all together. Do you feel me or am I crazy? Also, the kids try and put away their own laundry. Like I’ve mentioned before I’m super OCD, so sometimes the shirts are mixed with the dresses and Natalie’s clothes are mixed with Zoe’s but somethings just have to give.
So, DO you or DON’T you do laundry every day?
