Do you or don't you?

Do you or Don’t you take family pictures?

Since as long as I remember, every fall, my Mom would gather us kids in matching outfits and take us to some beach spot and snap a few pictures and what seemed like forever, we’d eventually have our family pictures. Year after year, I would go through a MILLION Shutterfly or Costco templates to try and pick our favorite and that was after we narrowed down the few that all of us looked decent in. We’d throw together a collage and say something uber cheesy. I mean, back then, we had SO much family we were sending what felt like a million cards. I couldn’t believe how many cards my Mom would send out. I feel like we used Costco a lot and I remember stamping and addressing just about over 200 envelopes. Well fast forward to 18 years later… here I am, scrambling for a photographer, finding outfits for all of us to wear and choosing some template that will WOW our recipients. Last year we did a DAMN good job. I was super impressed by our photos and the lay out of our card, this year it’ll be hard to top.

A long time ago, I met someone that had been mutual friends with B way back when in high school. Over the past 8 years or so,  this man has been nothing more than supportive to me and has taught me a TON of life lessons. His heart is the biggest I have ever seen and his work ethic is incomparable.  John has done nothing but support my many business endeavors and my god, his outlook on life is freaking refreshing. I always know who to call or to reach out to for that little boost. (thank you JR)

John D. Russell is beyond talented– his mind and soul are incredibly humble but his eye for photography leaves me breathless. This year, John will capture our family session. He has gone through a lot in his life and something that he has ingrained in me through the many years of our friendship is to print my pictures. I find it SO incredibly easy to click and take literally THOUSANDS of pictures on my iPhone but they really don’t mean anything unless they are printed. Though I’m not always picking up prints, I hear him ALL the time telling me I should print my shit and the importance of it.

John is offering my This Mom Uncensored fans 25% off a family session. He’s located in the South Bay, he’s a local (so he knows all of the best spots) and beyond professional. He has shot us quite a few times, and the experience is just magical. His eye and patience is beyond. I am SO excited to be able to share him with all of my friends.

Please take this chance to spoil yourselves this year and take advantage of this amazing offer. Time goes by so fast, the kids grow at the blink of an eye, and sometimes just SOMETIMES it’s nice to have everyone in front of the camera. He has some amazing packages and is legit a dream to work with. He is by far the real deal.

John D. Russell is your man for your holiday photos. Click the link and secure your spot asap.

They Call Me: Mom, MOM, MOMMAY

Hey there. I'm Kelsey. I live in sunny Manhattan Beach with my husband, Brendan, and our 3 kids- Natalie, Zoe & Travis. Natalie is almost 8 and is in the second grade. She is seriously a carbon copy of me.. Poor B. It's amazing at how fast she picks up on my likings and disliking, my mannerisms & sayings. Zoe is 5 and has the cutest little munchkin voice that can make you melt. Don’t be fooled because that girl is so strong willed and will fight you for what she wants and to top it off she’s blonde. Travis, my Dino loving three year old has really made our family complete. He is the perfect playing companion and is loyal to the bone. He’ll tell you how it is. As you could imagine, my life is nothing less than chaotic and though I can’t wait for 5 pm to hit-- I love my kids and my life.
