In a nutshell, Halloween Weekend. . .

Well, this is legit the busiest weekend of all weekends for our family. There is just SO much to do, we just can’t do it all. I– A, went super big on Thursday night, full disclosure, on my first MNO for Zoe’s class and met my PM kinder Moms and the rest was history. B was a SAINT and fed the kids breakfast, got them ready for school and I got to sleep in until 9 and it was a freaking dream. SO suffice to say, it was the FIRST time in TMU history that I didn’t get a blog up on a MWF. GASP. I legit felt so shitty, but it really wasn’t until 11 AM that I realized that I forgot to post. So.. I put it in an IG story instead. I really felt bad, and people noticed but I just couldn’t get my shit together… SO this week, I’ll be ON it. . .  (i hope.)

So this past weekend is legit the busiest weekend of the year. There is SO much stuff happening and I honestly feel like it is the beginning of the holidays. We are SLAMMED packed Friday, Saturday & Sunday and there is no stop in sight. I think it’s great– the kids get to see their friends and we get to see our friends so it’s a win-win.  However, it’s non-stop.

Since Halloween lands on a Wednesday this year, we are non stop Halloweening for 5 days straight.  I don’t know about you, but that’s a LOT. I’m tackling this, no joke, after a Pumpkin Roll, and it’s just something else.  There is SO much movement and a lot of commitment, that I have to be on my top game.

I came down with something this weekend and it wasn’t pretty. I was SO exhausted, but I am SO happy that I rallied because I wouldn’t have caught up with a ton of friends that I did see. It is awesome to catch up, especially around Halloween, I feel like it is the jumpstart to the holidays!

B and I legit champed it out and made a gazillion stops and saw all of the friends that we could possibly see in one night. I wasn’t feeling great, and REALLY REALLY wanted to call it a night an lay in bed and go to sleep at 9 like a loser for the second night in a row, but first and foremost, we had an amazing couple costume and I couldn’t bear to waste it and I knew if that I went out, I would snap out of it and have the best time.

So, I put on the sluttiest outfit that I owned, called a car, and that was the end of it.  I am so glad that I did because it was so nice to just hang out with each other, but It was also so nice catching up with friends we haven’t seen in a while. We made the appropriate rounds and were home and in bed by 1:30! I’d say that I was a success.

Sunday was a kid packed day with the Friendship walk and the MB pumpkin races AND the First  Street Pumpkin Roll. I’d say it was a weekend for the books. I’ll attach a few of my faves from the weekend

They Call Me: Mom, MOM, MOMMAY

Hey there. I'm Kelsey. I live in sunny Manhattan Beach with my husband, Brendan, and our 3 kids- Natalie, Zoe & Travis. Natalie is almost 8 and is in the second grade. She is seriously a carbon copy of me.. Poor B. It's amazing at how fast she picks up on my likings and disliking, my mannerisms & sayings. Zoe is 5 and has the cutest little munchkin voice that can make you melt. Don’t be fooled because that girl is so strong willed and will fight you for what she wants and to top it off she’s blonde. Travis, my Dino loving three year old has really made our family complete. He is the perfect playing companion and is loyal to the bone. He’ll tell you how it is. As you could imagine, my life is nothing less than chaotic and though I can’t wait for 5 pm to hit-- I love my kids and my life.
