I think it’s so adorable when kids go to school or daycare all put together, hair done with a matching bow all the way down to the shoe. Unfortunately for me, those days have come and gone. I’m not sure if it’s because idgaf and cannot fight with my kids or in my mind making them self sufficient? I hope that it’s the latter.
I often times try and pick something that i think they’d like or that is in their current rotation but more often than not it results in some sort of argument or extra long discussion on how I put them in long pants & sleeves and by 1:30 pm they’re sweating. All of a sudden they’ve lost all faith in my weather telling skills and I’m banned from picking their wardrobe. Let’s be real, that’s mostly the girls BUT Travis is very particular and has been picking out his own clothes since he was 20 months. All of my hopes of dressing my boy in black with no characters went down the drain.
So, do you or don’t you let your kids dress themselves? Where do draw the line? On the bright side some days are better than others.
