Don’t get me wrong, I love Trader Joes but it’s one of those places that I cannot get everything at. I try and get to a TJ’s once a month for our staples. This last trip was supposed to be a quickie. Zoe requested that I make lasagna. Why, I’m not sure. This kid who religiously eats bagels, salami tacos and butter pasta asked for lasagna so I take my ass to TJ’s to get the stuff to make it.
I really wanted to get out of there quick. The TJ’s that I went to has the WORST parking and is in the middle of school rush hour. With minimal complaining, I took the girls to grocery shop. I keep telling myself that I WILL NOT take them, and here I am.. Taking the kids shopping.
I grabbed the ingredients for the lasagna, I also grabbed stuff to make little KBBQ bowls, ice cream, cookies, oatmeal, lemons, chicken thighs (which I completely forgot about until right now) and some beverages. $88 later, we’ve got a yard of stickers and lollipops so we’re all good.
To circle back to the lasagna, Zoe really just liked the noodles and red sauce. Go figure.
I really only utilize Trader Joes for their frozen section for weeknight meals because I’m a fan of anything that can be done in under 20 minutes.
Are you interested in all of my meals that are 20 minutes or less?
