Ski Week Costco Haul

This week, the kids are on ski week and we’re all home.. so that means A LOT of eating & snacking.

The first order of business was to get a car washed & hit up the Costco.

This doesn’t include toilet paper, water, milk & pee pads.

We spent $250 on this trip. It probably could have been reduced but I lost my list mid trip! I keep telling myself that I wont take the kids grocery shopping or to Costco because I’ll end up with random stuff, but it keeps on happening! Also not pictured are the chocolate covered almods.. So today, I’ll give you the breakdown of the next few days and what we’ll be eating.

Shopping List:

Edamame, asparagus, baby carrots, hummus, Italian Dry Salami, Yoshida Teriyaki sauce, Kirkland thick slicked bacon, tilapia, avocados, Costco rotisserie chicken, pork ribs, bananas, French green beans, cooking spray, quinoa/ brown rice medley, Kings Hawaiian sweet rolls, pineapple, Peets, raspberries, granola bars, BBQ short ribs, English muffins, pirate booty, croissants.

Tuesday:

Lunch: Warned Hawaiian rolls, Salami tacos & pineapple

Dinner: Chicken noodle soup– I use the $5 Costco chicken leftovers and throw in egg noodles & whatever veggies I have laying around. (We end up having so much, I’ll pack it for grownup lunches.

Wednesday:

Breakfast: Eggs (not pictured, I buy the two flat from Costco & we still have plenty from my last hungover trip to Costco), bacon & toast.  ( I buy all of our bread from Costco.  Between breakfasts and lunch, sometimes I use up to 10 slices before 9 AM on a single day!)

Lunch: Turkey sandwiches, pirate booty, pineapple & string cheese (also from the last trip)

Dinner: Teri Taliapa, green beans & Harvest Melody (Trader Joes)

Thursday:

Breakfast: Egg sandwiches. (English muffin, one egg microwaved in a 1/2 bowl for one minute, a slice of cheese & done)

Lunch: The kids are with their Grandpa so WHOO hoo! I’ll probably do leftovers

Dinner: Ribs (I only Himalayan salt, pepper & garlic powder them.. I’ve got picky kids!), asparagus & spaghetti noodles (plain for the kids.)

Friday:

Breakfast: Mini pancakes ( I mean the Eggo kinds– 30 secs in the micro), banana, yogurt (also from the last costco trip)

Lunch: English Muffin with Jelly or Butter, fruit, Pirate booty & a Peanut butter Ovaltine protein shake

Dinner: Chicken quesidillas with guacamole. I usually stop by our fave Mexican joint and grab some Spanish rice for the girls.

Saturday:

Breakfast: bacon, eggs & french toast

Lunch: We’re out for a Funeral. .

Dinner: Fend for yourself — Some sort of leftovers; If I could call it now, it’ll be leftover Spaghetti noodles

Sunday:

Breakfast: Bagels (not from Costco– The kids eat plain bagels with whipped cream cheese & strawberry smear)

Lunch: We’re out of a BBQ- PHEW

Dinner: Chicken salad sliders. I’ll use whatever chicken is left, shred it up SUPER DUPER thin, add some mayo, salt & pepper and throw it on a Hawaiian Roll.

AND come Monday, the kiddos are back at school & I’ll have to worry about school lunches & dinners.  We’ll be back to EASY breakfasts and 40-minute dinners because who has time for all of that.

They Call Me: Mom, MOM, MOMMAY

Hey there. I'm Kelsey. I live in sunny Manhattan Beach with my husband, Brendan, and our 3 kids- Natalie, Zoe & Travis. Natalie is almost 8 and is in the second grade. She is seriously a carbon copy of me.. Poor B. It's amazing at how fast she picks up on my likings and disliking, my mannerisms & sayings. Zoe is 5 and has the cutest little munchkin voice that can make you melt. Don’t be fooled because that girl is so strong willed and will fight you for what she wants and to top it off she’s blonde. Travis, my Dino loving three year old has really made our family complete. He is the perfect playing companion and is loyal to the bone. He’ll tell you how it is. As you could imagine, my life is nothing less than chaotic and though I can’t wait for 5 pm to hit-- I love my kids and my life.
