My mom’s side of the family gives me SO much slack for ‘not feeding’ my kids. On the contrary, I feed them a lot. ALL THE TIME. It just so happens that when we go to her house, she just has a better pantry than we do. They always want a treat. I literally feel like I am always feeding my kids or doing some sort of activity that revolves around food.. Prepping, washing, cutting, getting refills, napkins and cleaning. ALL day long.
So obviously I feed my kids a substantial meal with the necessary food groups. Literally without fail, 20 minutes later they’re hungry and need a snack. Whenever we get in the car, they need a snack. We could be just leaving lunch and are walking the mall or doing an errand– they’re hungry, thirsty.. All of the above.
I guess the snacking won’t end. They’re always going to be hungry. I’ve got to switch up my snacking game. My go to’s are string cheese, apple sauce pouches or Mama Chia, crackers, cuties, cereal bags, freeze dried fruit and dried fruit. What are your kiddos snacky snack cravings?
