I work 4 days and 3-4 nights a week and Fridays are my days to purge, volunteer, clean and do me. Umm, why is it that doing all the chores take up SO much time. I swear by the time I drop the kids off, run to the grocery store, put the stuff away, switch the laundry, it’s nearly 10 AM! Not to mention I have A MILLION more things to do. I need another store run because you can’t get everything you need at just one store. Ugh. I feel like i’ve reached the point where i just need a little bit of help, like maybe a laundry person. Does such a person exist? Someone to do our laundry, towels and beds. I HATE doing the laundry. I think I get so frustrated because the baskets fill up so quickly! It’s even worse when the tiny voices in my house say “Mom your laundry is full..!” Excuse me, it’s not MY laundry. I’m pretty sure ya’ll just put your stuff in there!
I guess this leads me into the next thing– how young is too young for them to start these sorts of chores? Laundry specifically. I feel like if they want their stuff to be clean, they need to carry it up. The issue I have with that is they miss a TON of stuff and I think that’s how I get a lot of mismatched socks. How do ya’ll incorporate chores? I’m looking for any and all suggestions to help lighten my house load.
