I think self-care is so important and it’s something that I often put on the back burner. I don’t often remember me until I’m about to break. It totally sucks. Moms are always on the go and going to the next thing, I think it’s super important to make time for you once a day. I mean I can preach all day but until I practice, what’s the point?
Something that I do for me every single day is getting myself together. I didn’t always use to but I feel so much better when my face is partially on, my hair is combed and semi-finished. Don’t get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of the messy bun. The messy bun and I are BFF’s. I just feel like getting up the extra 20 minutes to make myself presentable is worth it. 20 minutes is nothing!
Another thing that I absolutely love to do for me is, if the sun is shining I am sitting in it. I’m stuck in an office all day or in a stinky car getting the kids from place to place, but if the sun is shining I am either drinking my coffee on the balcony with the pup or I’m in our little backyard catching rays. I feel so much better with a little bit of sunshine and the tan doesn’t hurt either. Just can’t forget the hat & SPF.
The gym is where you’ll find me if A- I have time and B- I’ve met my breaking point. I wish that I could go to the gym every day. Seriously. The thought of going SUCKS, but I LOVE it once I get there. I love cranking up the volume and a good sweat & burn. I think I’m going to try and go right now. 🙂
